Notice on Selecting Scholarship Exchange Students for Woosong University, South Korea for the Fall Semester 2025
To: All Schools/Colleges and Students,
To further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between our university and our partner institutions in South Korea, and to provide our students with opportunities to study abroad, broaden their horizons, and enhance their professional skills, Huangshan University and Woosong University, South Korea have agreed to continue selecting five (5) scholarship students for exchange studies at Woosong University during the Fall Semester 2025. The relevant details are as follows:
I. Introduction to Woosong University
Woosong University is located in Daejeon Metropolitan City, South Korea's second administrative capital and often referred to as the Silicon Valley of Korea. The university belongs to the Woosong Educational Foundation, established in 1954. The foundation operates Woosong University (a four-year undergraduate institution), Woosong Information College, Woosong Middle School, and Woosong Kindergarten.
Woosong University comprises seven colleges: the College of Railway & Logistics, the College of Digital Media, the College of Hotel Culinary Arts & Bakery, the College of Health & Welfare, Endicott College of International Studies, SolBridge International School of Business, and Sol International School. It offers over 60 majors across these colleges, houses 27 research institutes and affiliated organizations. Most majors offer Master's degree programs, and some offer Doctoral programs.
II. Program Details
In principle, students with IELTS 5.5 or TOPIK Level 3 or above may apply for major courses during the exchange period.
Students who do not meet the language requirement may apply for English or Korean language courses through an interview.

III. Study Period
September 1, 2025 – December 12, 2025
IV. Selection Criteria
Full-time enrolled students of Huangshan University (non-graduating class).
Love their country, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, support the socialist system, possess good moral character, abide by laws and regulations, and have no record of violating national laws, regulations, or university rules.
Diligent in studies with good academic performance; no failed courses; minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.3 or above.
Possess sufficient language proficiency to meet the demands of academic studies and daily communication.
V. Number of Selections
Full Scholarship Exchange: 2 students (100% tuition waiver)
Half Scholarship Exchange: 3 students (50% tuition reduction)
VI. Application Procedure
Selection Process: Students apply individually. Applications are recommended by their respective secondary college, reviewed by the Academic Affairs Office, assessed by the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, and the preliminary list of exchange students is publicized. Upon final approval by the university, students may proceed with departure procedures.
Application Deadline: From the date of this notice until June 30, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.
Required Documents:
(1) Huangshan University Overseas (and to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan) Exchange Application Form (Download from the Downloads section of the International Education College website; print double-sided; fill out all sections completely).
(2) Huangshan University Student Academic Transcript (Printed and stamped by the school/college secretary, then reviewed and stamped by the Academic Affairs Office).
(3) Proof of English or Korean language proficiency (e.g., test scores).Submission Location: International Affairs Section (Room 308), International Education College, Hengjiang Campus.
