Food science and engineering major was founded in 2008, open food microbiology, food engineering principle, food technology, food preservation, food chemistry, food safety, food analysis, food machinery and equipment, food factory planning and design, food enterprise management, food standards and regulations, training students have new product research and development, engineering design and innovative entrepreneurial ability. With food microbiology, food technology, food processing and preservation, food safety and analysis, functional food and cosmetics research and development laboratory, students extracurricular practice of pilot production line, including beer production line, yogurt production line, fruit wine, medicinal cosmetics production line, as well as external practice base 15. Based on these professional platforms, practical activities such as professional skills competition and innovation and entrepreneurship training have been carried out to cultivate students' ability of new product research and development and engineering design, so as to make them have innovative spirit and practical ability, to provide further scientific and technological talents for universities, and to provide application-oriented senior technical talents and entrepreneurial elites for food enterprises.
