Notice on Selecting Exchange Students for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for the Fall Semester 2025

To: All Schools/Colleges and Students,

To further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between our university and our partner institutions in Malaysia, and to provide our students with opportunities to study abroad, broaden their horizons, and enhance their professional skills, Huangshan University and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) have agreed through consultation to continue selecting outstanding students for a one-semester exchange program at UPM starting in September 2025. The relevant details are as follows:

I. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Full-time sophomore or junior students currently enrolled at Huangshan University.

  2. Love their country, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, support the socialist system, possess good moral character, abide by laws and regulations, and have no record of violating national laws, regulations, or university rules.

  3. Diligent in studies with good academic performance; no record of requiring make-up examinations; minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.3 or above.

  4. Possess a good foundation in English: CET-4 score of 425 points or above. Applicants without a CET score must provide an official university English transcript for review by their respective secondary college.

  5. Applicants must commit to complying with the laws and regulations of the host country and the rules of Universiti Putra Malaysia.

  6. In good physical health and capable of successfully completing the overseas study program. (Applicants with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis B carriers, or other infectious diseases are ineligible.)

II. Required Application Documents

  1. Huangshan University Overseas (and to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan) Exchange Application Form (Download from the Downloads section of the International Education College website; print double-sided; fill out all sections completely).

  2. Huangshan University Student Academic Transcript (Printed, signed, and stamped by the school/college academic secretary, then reviewed and stamped by the Academic Affairs Office).

  3. CET-4/CET-6/University English Test Score Report.

III. Application Method and Selection Procedure

  1. Available Majors: See the attached Introduction to the 2025 UPM Exchange Program.

  2. Application Deadline: From the date of this notice until April 16, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted.

  3. Submission Location & Contact: International Affairs Section (Room 308), International Education College, Hengjiang Campus. Contact: Ms. Wang. Tel: 0559-2546600.

  4. Selection Process: Students apply individually. Applications are recommended by their respective secondary college, reviewed by the Academic Affairs Office, assessed by the Foreign Affairs Office, and the preliminary list of exchange students is publicized. Upon final approval by the university, students may proceed with departure procedures.

IV. Important Notes

  1. Exchange students are only required to pay their regular tuition fees to Huangshan University and are exempt from paying tuition fees to Universiti Putra Malaysia. Other associated costs (accommodation, living expenses, insurance, visa, flights, etc.) are approximately RMB 30,000. (See the attached Introduction to the 2025 UPM Exchange Program for details).

  2. Exchange students are responsible for completing the university departure and overseas application procedures themselves according to the established process, with guidance provided by the International Education College.

  3. Within ten (10) working days of returning to campus, exchange students must submit a study summary report to the Foreign Affairs Office and complete the procedures for credit transfer recognition and re-enrollment.

  4. Upon completion of the exchange program, students may apply for Huangshan University's Student Overseas Exchange Funding.
