Analysis and Testing Center
The Analysis and Testing Center of Huangshan University (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was established in 2009 and operates under the University’s Office of Scientific Research. It serves as a comprehensive university-level analysis and testing platform that integrates teaching, scientific research, talent development, and social services. The Center also functions as a shared service platform for large-scale instruments and equipment, open to both the university and the broader society. Guided by the principles of scientific rigor, collaboration, and innovation, the Center is committed to fostering win-win partnerships. Adhering to the values of scientific integrity, fairness, efficiency, and accuracy, it provides analytical and testing services to the university and the community.
The Center boasts a well-structured, highly qualified, and professionally skilled team of analysts, consisting of five full-time staff members, including two holding doctoral degrees and three holding master’s degrees. It comprises several specialized instrumental analysis laboratories, including electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, elemental analysis, spectroscopic analysis, chromatographic analysis, and mass spectrometric analysis.
Currently, the Center is equipped with 17 sets of large-scale precision instruments, each valued at over RMB 100,000. These include a field emission scanning electron microscope, an X-ray residual stress analyzer, a high-resolution X-ray diffractometer, an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer, a high-performance liquid chromatography tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, a gas chromatography-mass spectrometer, an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, a laser Raman spectrometer, and a differential scanning calorimeter, among other advanced instruments.
Leveraging its unique strengths, the Center actively serves as a practical training base for students, supporting a wide range of disciplines such as pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, materials science, biology, environmental science, and food science. It provides testing and data analysis services to support scientific research and teaching experiments for both faculty and students. In line with national policies promoting the sharing of large-scale instruments, the Center also offers its analysis and testing services to the public. In August 2024, it was granted the Certification for Qualification of Inspection and Testing Institutions by the Anhui Provincial Administration for Market Regulation, officially becoming a third-party institution accredited with China’s Inspection and Testing Institutional Qualification (CMA).
Guided by the philosophy of openness, sharing, efficiency, and excellence, the Center is dedicated to building a state-of-the-art public service platform that integrates advanced equipment, talented professionals, and innovative technologies. Rooted in Huangshan and serving the broader region, it aims to become a leading shared equipment platform, a talent cultivation hub, and a technical service center.
