Huangshan University Auctions Scientific and Technological Achievements to Accelerate Their Commercialization
On the afternoon of December 20, the inaugural Scientific and Technological Achievements (Intellectual Property) Auction and Project Roadshow Promotion Event of Huangshan University was held in the Wenduan Building Auditorium on the Shuishui Campus. Attendees included Li Qinghong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the university; Wang Henglai, Vice Mayor of Huangshan City; and Jiang Xiaodong, Chairman of Zhejiang Wuyi Technology Co., Ltd. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhang Xiaoming, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President. More than 50 entrepreneurs from within and outside the province and over 200 representatives of teachers and students participated in the event.
Li Qinghong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university. He emphasized that the university is dedicated to serving Anhui's strategic positioning as three hubs and one area, the construction of seven-strength Anhui, and the development of the Greater Huangshan area. By fully integrating scientific and technological talent resources, the university has achieved remarkable results in contributing to local economic and social development. He pointed out that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements is an important criterion for measuring a university’s social contributions and research output. This auction event will further broaden the channels for connecting the university’s scientific and technological achievements with the industrial market, accelerate the efficiency of technology transfer, and propel the university’s scientific innovation and achievement commercialization to new heights.
Jiang Xiaodong expressed his hope that the event would serve as a new starting point for comprehensively and deeply expanding and elevating the strategic partnership with Huangshan University. He emphasized the importance of further exploring and nurturing high-quality projects, facilitating their implementation and growth in Huangshan and across Anhui, and contributing more substantially to local economic and social development.
Wang Henglai highlighted in his address the necessity of strengthening ties between local government and universities and establishing a regularized roadshow mechanism. He hopes that Huangshan University will further intensify research and development efforts based on the needs of local enterprises, thereby boosting high-quality economic development in the city.
The event collected seven scientific and technological achievements for auction and three projects for roadshow presentations, covering technical fields such as integrated circuits, sensor technology, and automotive electronics. The total starting bid for the seven achievements was 2.7 million yuan, and all were successfully auctioned on the spot with transaction confirmations signed, reaching a total auction value of 4.07 million yuan.
The event also featured a patent open licensing signing ceremony. Huang Fei’s team and Chen Long’s team from Huangshan University signed agreements with Huangshan Jiulong Construction and Investment Co., Ltd., Huangshan Huikefang Food Co., Ltd., and Huangshan Feiying Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., respectively.
Co-organized by Huangshan University, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration, and Zhejiang Wuyi Technology Co., Ltd., this event aimed to build a communication bridge between the university, enterprises, and investors. It sought to accelerate the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, deepen the integration of education and local industry, provide solid talent and intellectual support for Huangshan’s economic and social development, and further promote industrial upgrading and innovative growth.
