School of Life and Environmental Sciences Visits Enterprises to Expand Jobs

On May 9, Pan Jian, Party Secretary of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Ren Xiaopu, Director of the Food Teaching and Research Office, and Dr. Li Yang successively visited Huixiang Shili Meat Products Co., Ltd. and Huangshan Lihui Liquor Culture Industry Co., Ltd. as part of a special campaign to visit enterprises and expand jobs.

The delegation toured the companies’ production workshops, quality control laboratories, and product display areas, learning in detail about deep processing of meat products, quality and safety control, liquor brewing processes, cultural brand building, and industrial layout. In subsequent discussions, the school and enterprises exchanged views in depth on talent cultivation, practical teaching, and graduate employment. A representative of Huixiang Shili Meat Products Co., Ltd. noted that the company’s peak production season in the second half of the year overlaps significantly with students’ internship period, generating relatively concentrated demand for labor and practical training. Huangshan Lihui Liquor Culture Industry Co., Ltd. proposed a “work-study” internship model for students, suggesting that it be introduced starting in the sophomore year so that students can gradually integrate into frontline industry through flexible and adaptive practice.

During the visit, the two sides also held in-depth talks on product research and development, quality management, and production technology, reaching several cooperation intentions.
